Statement:

Valerie Leri is an intuitive visual artist whose body of work is about light, both spiritually and literally.  She considers her art to be a combination of realism and the abstract.

Background:

Valerie Leri was born and raised in Belmont, MA.  After high school she spent six months in Bourget du lac, France studying the various forms of painting under Mr. Henri Jeandet after which she graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelors of Fine Arts.  She has since had her work in New Haven, Connecticut galleries as well as The Boat Meadow Gallery in Dennis, MA where she has sold seven of her paintings.  Valerie is a member of the Cape Cod Art Association as well as the Falmouth Artists Guild where she has had many of her paintings in exhibitions.  She has recentlly won an award for her painting, Ocean Colors by the Cape Cod Maritime Art Society.
