Statement:
Photography has opened up my eyes to the true nature of the world and the people around me. A photograph does not lie. It can, however, intentionally mislead, but in misleading, it compares itself to what we would typically expect, and therefore broadening our view of what should and should not be.
For my photography, I cannot help but be influenced by Ansel Adams, with his meticulously exposed and printed moments of sheer beauty in nature, and his mastery of contrast and tonal values. I also must say I am influenced by my first photography teacher, the guy whose photographs actually drew me into the art, Michael Cevoli. To view his work, click here.
