I just like writing. I have written everything from poetry, to fiction, non-fiction, and, yes, even essays. I love it all!

Background:

Where to start? I started writing poetry when I was in my pre teens and moved on from there. I actually aspired to be a writer, but like always life had it's own ideas. So here I am doing freelance work and doing the best to get myself noticed.

                                Devastation

 She felt her heart beating as, with complete confusion, she watched paramedics carry her grandmother and mother, their heads wrapped in bandages covered in blood, on stretchers into ambulances . How could this be? Was she dreaming? No, she couldn't be. She had been walking along with her sister just minutes ago and laughing about girlish things.And the gunshots she had heard? Hunters or shooter? She ran screaming towards them only to be stopped by intruding hands. She kicked and screamed at them without success. Crying fiercely, she watched as the ambulances drove away in no hurry and without sirens.
