Tanner Clark
Hometown
Nowheresville, PennsylvaniaBio
Our story begins in Millersville Indiana, where Tanner began her climb to rock stardom. Even at age nine, she preferred rocking to 'rithmatic, and singing to softball. Going through an awkward period she would later dub "The Ghastly Years", gave Tanner the first taste of isolatiom which would later inform her songs.
Despite actively hating school and a near allergic reaction to homework, Tanner succeeded spectacularly and received scholarships from many universities. Defying her family's wishes, Tanner spurned these offers and struck out for a NYC art school. And her destiny.
Tanner flipped for life in the big city, throwing herself into the art and music scenes. However, within six months of arriving, she dropped out of school and went to L.A., thus beginning what she would later refer to as her "Lost Years". Broke and heartbroken, Tanner ended up in Chicago. Working part time in a record store, she began writing songs to deal with her pain. Soon she hit the club scene where she was an instant smash. Her sold-out gigs brought her to the attention of manager Julia Nichols. Under Nichols management, Tanner was soon playing clubs around the country, and making a big splash wherever she went.
Nichols was a master of promotion, and Tanner's debut single was already in the Top 20 when her album "Broken Record" hit the shelves. It looked like the begining of a long pop reign, but then, just days after the release, Tanner cancelled her tour, stopped further recording, and vanished from the music scene entirely.
