Statement:
What is it like to be drenched? To be submerged in an unending thickness? Are there
moments of clarity? Is a grounded place ever achieved in the midst of the chaos of
drowning? Fading in and out of an aware state is a fascinating concept. Is there potential
to harness this ability or is it simply an outside controlling energy? The need to answer
these questions stems from the desire to comprehend the relationship between the mind
and movement. The capacity of generating works of art in the conscious and unconscious
mind and transferring them to physical manifestations is astounding. This examination of
the psychological and physical processes associated with the transference of movement
will concern not only the ending product, but its conceptual beginnings and ongoing
modifications.

Saving Fish From DrowningYear Made:
2007Size/Weight:
-9 minute, comprehensive work -Created for two men and four womenDescription:
Saving Fish from Drowning is the first conversation in the series. Saving Fish began as a work for two couples. My process focused mainly on their distinct personality and how it affected each relationship they experienced. The result was a modern tower of Babel. Four strong ideas existed with no connection. An interpreter, as a fifth participant became necessary. From that moment, each bond that was formed became vital. These are the thoughts of five drowning fish. [Saving Fish from Drowning] Am I your friend? Maybe. If we were in a school of fish. Well, if we had some deja vu, we'd know then. Otherwise... Hard to say. Are you saying you don’t remember me? That’s not very nice. We’re just friends. I like you. Glad that’s settled. It was settled at the start. Can you breathe here? No I can’t. I can sometimes.Price:
