Statement:

Mary is a freelance photographer who loves learning as she goes. The natural masterpieces of the outdoors are her favorite to shoot as well as close up features of the face and raw materials.

Background:

In 1984, Mary was born in Tacoma Park, MD. She grew up with her younger brother, Scott, in Fairfax, VA before moving to Charlottesville VA. Mary's passions are love for the arts and teaching young children. Mary has always seemed to be active and on the go. Her mother always said from the time Mary could walk you only saw the back of her head.

Mary attended high school at Tandem Friends School in Charlottesville, VA. At Tandem she found her love of photography and crafts. She went to Virginia Commonwealth University where she studied Crafts, Music and Early Childhood Education, She decided after two years that she would learn more and get more out of life working in the child education field and not by staying in school.

Mary works as an arts and crafts teacher to young children and does freelance photography. She also takse classes at the local community college in order to fulfill licensing requirements and to get new ideas.

Mary married Sean Bias in 2006 and they welcomed their first child, Tynan Scott Bias, in 2007. They are currently living in Charlottesville Va.
