ART: SCULPTURE
Corrina Espinosa
Hometown:
Denver, Colorado
Statement:
I am fascinated with the human figure, both faces and bodies, especially with regards to how expressive they can be. In my work I capture highly expressive gestures and characteristics, with a quirky, somewhat "off" sense of style. My work can be considered both humorous and gory.
Background:
I have been making art since I was a kid. I fell in love with sculpting in my high school ceramics class. I am now a senior at Metro State College in Denver, where i plan to recieve my BFA in sculpture.
Upcoming Events:
I try to be out at every First Friday art walk on Santa Fe st. in Denver, CO. More stuff will be coming soon, I promise!

"Keep off the Grass!!!"Year Made:
2008Size/Weight:
aprox. 3 ft. in length 3 ft. high and 35 lbs.Description:
This is a water fountain lamp. It has dual bulbs that can be replaced in a variety of colors and styles. The water is pumped in a small stream from the base to the top of the grass hill, where it slides down a blue green ramp, and back into the pool. It is also covered by tiny people sculpted out of polymer clay (warning: the people are anatomically correct and in provocative positions, upon a closer look.) who are indulging in their so-called utopia. My favoritePrice:

$200.00
