Background:

Christopher Mitchell was born in Chattanooga, TN. He currently resides in Knoxville. Christopher frequently travels to Brooklyn for work. He has lived in New York three to four months out of the year for the past four years. He is an avid outdoors-man and has been honored with the rank of Eagle Scout. His activities range from fly fishing in the Appalachians to duck hunting on the open waters. He also enjoys playing rugby for the local team.

Christopher has been a photographer his entire life. Since the day his father placed a camera in his hands at the age of one, he has never put it down. He has received numerous awards for various artworks. He does not have a particular style or subject, he simply adapts to the moment.

Christopher has variety of experience with 35mm, 120mm and 4x5 film. He prefers shooting film because of the quality, and the idea that you only have one chance to capture the image. Christopher’s knowledge of still photography has aided him in becoming a cinematographer over the years. He most often shoots in 16mm, 35mm, and HD formats. He has directed and shot cinematography work that includes an award winning short film “Between The End”, a feature DOC “Trek Nation”, and various TV and advertisement projects.
