Statement:

Hello. My name is Thomas David Ruley and I am a freelance graphic artist, but I specialize in 3D environmental rendering. I noticed that I am pretty much a loner on this site because I do not work in the streamlined media forms. My work is done strictly on the computer. BUT, I've also been into watercolor painting, and drawing. Especially cartoons. I've been into the more untraditional methods of creating art now for over 8 years.

Background:

As I mentioned before, i started as an artist at the young age of 8 when i started drawing pictures for other kids in my classroom. Then sometime before I became a teenager, I began drawing cartoons. I did these doodles for a long time until I thought it would be a good idea to create my own comic book. That didn't last, so I turned towards surrealism, painting in watercolors at first, then worked my way into acrylic paints. Finally, after getting tired of cleaning up all the mess, I looked into computer art. Ever since then, I learned and grew as an artist. My work is a mix between sci-fi and surrealism, but my work also falls into other genres as well.

Other:

I've dontated my artwork to a couple of charitable events over the last year, and have sold a few pieces here and there to private clients all over the world. I would love to get "signed on" as an artist, but a lot of people don't consider my work as "art" but I don't listen to the majority. Let my work speak for itself.
