I progressed to shipbuilding in 1980 aboard my first tour on board a submarine while visiting Italy. There i purchased my first ship the Bon Homme Richard. I got permission to work on board with small lathe and jigsaw and atmospheric contaminates (GLUE). All aboard were intrested during the medeterrianian run how the ship would get out the hatch. Background:
Ive built ships over the years and got flooded with repair work of friends and family of there boats/ships. The american gunboat ARROW participated in the Battle of Lake Champlain lasting only a few hours with the defeat of the british. The ships manuverability by oarmen had to line fwd gun up directly with the shot or using its swivel aft gun of a smaller caliber, its weakness was an exposed crew to snipper fire.
