Statement:

I am a writer of many things, lists, poetry, 'zines, autobiographical sketches. I am currently in the process of finalizing a memoir I have been working on for several years. I also maintain a blog about my life, a diary of sorts (www.diaryofamagpie.typepad.com) as well as a fashion blog (http://diaryofamagpie.typepad.com/fashionista/)

Since I was a pre-teen, I have always had a keen interest in D.I.Y. publishing and the unique creative art form of the 'zine. 

zine (an abbreviation of the word fanzine, or magazine; pronounced [ziːn], "zeen") is most commonly a small circulation, non-commercial publication of original or appropriated texts and images. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest usually reproduced via photocopier on a variety of colored paper stock.A popular definition includes that circulation must be 5,000 or less, although in practice the significant majority are produced in editions of less than 100, and the intention of the publication is not primarily to raise a profit.)

I intend to use this space to post my most recent zine's for sale. They will also be available through various local distributors in the mission (SF, CA)

Background:

Writing is something that I am very deeply connected to. I fell in love with the written word early on in life, and having been raised by a geeky technology obsessed writer father, I began to document my life on floppy discs and PCs at the age of five, following his example. I have always been fond of the diary format and have a deeply rooted obsession with memoirs.
