in early 2007 four dapper gentlemen started sharing their mutual love for music that would make the hair on the back of their neck stand up.  As they began to play together and write music they quickly realized they had something they wanted to show others.  With the completion of six songs Andrew, Robbie, Brian, and Joey decided it was time to stop calling themselves by their first names and started calling themselves The Steelwells.  They decided to call these collection of songs The Open Letter EP.
