New YorkBio
I'm an MBA graduate in International Management, that has been singing for 10 years and has decided to take a giant leap of faith and go for it. I'm 25, unmarried with no babies, so at this point I can still afford to do the craziest things if I believe they'll take me where I am envisioning myself.
After being in a girl band when I was 15 until I was 20, I decided to go solo and get me a strong education that would get me ready for the music industry and because I believe in combining brains with art. I got signed in a French indie Label for 2 years as a solo act and got involved in various musical projects with different artists including an acapella world music quartet, an afro beat band, a rythmn 'blues guitar voice duet, a hip hop band and well, my very own solo act.
And as a writer, I contributed in creating lyrics for other singers and bands on albums and singles. I also was an opening act in France ( as I am half french) for notable hip hop artists, I did some acting in independant movies and I am soon to perfect my dancer skills at the Broadway Dance center.. So yes, the scope is wide..
At this point I'd like to come up with some new material music wise, I'm not trying to reinvent anything.. I just want it to feel good for at least 3:50 minutes , and hopefully I'll find some people to share that vision with me :)
Influences
My influences are extremely wid but I'll have too stay it starts with my mom who was a singer herself, seeing her on stage as a little girl, definitely inspired me.
Otherwise once agin the scope is wide as I mainly listen to everything from Jazz to Opera, including Alternative Rock, Hip Hop, Neo Soul, House music, Gospel, Pop Rock and the list goes on.. I also have a thing for the 70s modjo and I was a teen in the 90s so you know what that means : Dance music, Grunge ( huge Nirvana fan at the time), what they used to call Gangsta Rap and gosh all the stuff I can't think of now because my subconscious doesn't really want you to know some of the songs I knew by heart and danced to.
Finally being of african origin and having grown up around the world, I love World Music : African rythms, Samba, Salsa, Arabic music, Hindi music ( yep love them high pitched voices and winy melodies... ;) Flamenco.. all of it ...
So again the scope is wide which pretty much leaves a whole lot of room for creativity.. and that's definitely a good thing :)

Thanks
My mom for transferring the love of art and music on to me.
My very talent brother that keeps me going because I want to share a stage with him some day.
My fabulous grand mamas that make me want to be on top just to see pride in their eyes.
All the Friends I have who gave me love and support when I wanted to let go, and who taught me and helped me grow constantly.
All those who didn't and still do not support me because they think this is a crazy dream and I should be 'realistic' : they give me the fuel to keep my motor running and I'm thankful.
All those who have made it before me and proved anything is possible if you put your mind, your soul and faith in it.. the sky is the limit and they have inspired me with beautiful creations, amazing life stories and superbe ideas for me to build upon. Thank you..
